2020 Key Stage One: Key Messages from Moderation Training

Teachers and assessment leaders for Year 2 are invited to attend this briefing session on moderation in 2020.

Description

This briefing session will explore the key messages from the STA moderator training for Key Stage One.

During the session, guidance and clarity will be provided around key issues linked to moderation including:

  • Professional discussion
  • Making judgements using the teacher assessment framework
  • Particular weakness
  • Independent writing
  • Feedback from the 2019 moderation cycle

Potential moderators should be advised that this is an abridged version of the STA moderator training.

Cost per person: Funded

Where participants have registered and are accepted onto courses there is an expectation that cancellation is given within forty eight working hours Mon-Fri of the course start time if they are unable to attend. Failure to give notice or turn up will result in being charged £25 for the delegate place.


Delegates who attend this session without booking a place will be charged £25 per place (in addition to any course charges).

Outcomes

Year 2 teachers will deepen their understanding of the processes for moderations and teacher assessment at Key Stage One.
