No Longer Running: Keeping Primary EAL/EMA Leaders up-to-date with the National Agenda and Teaching & Learning Strategies


These termly network meetings will provide an opportunity for discussion and training in relation to current developments around enhancing provision for EAL learners in your school


These network meetings aim to keep EAL/EMA leads abreast of current developments relating to EAL/EMA. Each session will focus on relevant information such as:
  • national and local updates
  • a chance to share and discuss ways in which you can use the information collected about EAL learners in the annual school census in planning effective language support
  • sharing good practice across the curriculum
  • recent resources
  • managerial issues

Over the year you will continue to explore strategies to enhance the teaching of reading and writing across the curriculum.
There will be opportunities to reflect and network with colleagues.

Cost per person: Training Subscription of 1 credit (£67.50). Everyone else will be charged £87.50.

Where participants have registered and are accepted onto courses there is an expectation they will cancel their place, via the website (within forty eight working hours of the course start time) if they are unable to attend. Failure to do so will result in being charged for the delegate place.

Delegates who attend this session without booking a place will be charged £25.00 administration fee per person in addition to the course fee.

EAL/EMA leads in KS1 & KS2, NQTs, recently qualified teachers and teacher trainees
