Further to popular demand, we are re-running this twilight session, where you will be given the opportunity to explore three schemes of work written by the Support, Challenge and Intervention team to support creative, independent writing in Year 6.
To support teachers as they make their final teacher assessment judgements, the Support, Challenge and Intervention team have produced three schemes of work for writing. Each scheme provides five writing lessons based around a theme and linked to high quality texts for KS2. The lessons can be taught as a full scheme or as stand-alone lessons. This year, the themes are The Amazon, Inventors and Fantastical Worlds. Each scheme provides teachers with detailed lesson plans and supporting resources, including annotated exemplar texts. Teachers will have the opportunity to ask questions about the schemes and discuss their implementation in school. Where participants have registered and are accepted onto courses there is an expectation that they will contact firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel their place (within forty eight working hours of the course start time) if they are unable to attend. It is the responsibility of the attendee to sign the register otherwise this will count as non-attendance. Failure to do so will result in being charged £87.50 for each delegate place. Cost per person: Luton schools: £87.50 first place with two places free of charge. £87.50 for out-of-borough establishments Delegates who attend this session without booking a place will be charged £25.00 per delegate in additional to any course fee. This session is a repeat of the sessions on 24/04/2018. Please do not attend if you participated in one of these sesssions.
Teachers will leave this session fully equipped to deliver high quality writing lessons that will provide exciting opportunities for children to write independently.
