Give children you work with strong foundations in phonics, to help give them the best chance to become successful readers and writers when they start school.
This successful course is running again due to popular demand from those working with 3 and 4 year olds.
This workshop will introduce fun and practical ideas for supporting the development of phonological awareness, a key skill for successful readers and writers, through listening games, rhymes, circle games and music activities.
Practitioners will be supported to understand terms such as phonological awareness, oral blending and segmenting.
Ideas will be shared for supporting younger children with their pre-phonic skills before introducing them to letter sounds.
Cost per person: Luton Nurseries/PVIs £45.00. Primary Schools: training subscription SLA or £67.50. Everyone else will be charged £87.50.
Where participants have registered and are accepted onto courses there is an expectation they will cancel their place, via the schoolsupport.luton.gov.uk website (within forty eight hours Mon-Fri of the course start time) if they are unable to attend. Failure to do so will result in being charged for the delegate place.
Delegates who attend this session without booking a place will be charged £25.00 administration fee per person in addition to the course fee.
